Over Twenty Years Experience
Life can be extraordinarily challenging and finding a therapist that "fits" can be intimidating. I enjoy working with diverse clients from varied backgrounds. My passion is working with motivated clients to address trauma, anxiety, and various life transitions. I also enjoy working with teenagers navigating the road to adulthood. My role as a therapist is to nurture the innate healing process by teaching the needed skills and utilizing tailored interventions so clients may achieve goals related to improved emotional coping, satisfying relationships, and better quality of life.
I am EMDR certified, and trained in Developmental Needs Meeting (similar to IFS) to address the different presentations trauma, simple to complex. I incorporate mindfulness, EFT, and breath work to reduce anxiety and promote emotional safety along with CBT and DBT skills to improve emotional coping.
I received my Masters of Social Work Degree from Boston College, and am currently pursuing my Doctorate of Social Work at Southern Connecticut State University, graduating May 2024.
